3D Modeling​
The first step in the illustration process is to produce a 3D model. For clients that want only a 3D model of his or her invention/product, the pricing is determined by the complexity of the invention. The modeling software used is Fusion 360, which is free to use, thus allowing the client to access his or her model at its completion.
Technical or Patent Drawings
A set of drawings consists of many figures. Each figure shows a different aspect of the invention. This usually consists of the different views or angles of the invention. Thus, the price of a set of drawings is based on the number of figures required in a drawing set. For patent drawings specifically, the illustrator works closely with the patent attorney to achieve an accurate portrait of the invention. Callouts are included in the technical drawing, which are determined by the client's patent attorney.
